Then, we realized that the bus had fallen into the Cali River.

The police arrived and asked about the cause of the accident. The bus driver told them that he had seen a lion sitting in the middle of the road. They laughed and decided to go to the zoo to inquire whether a lion had escaped.”

In quantum physics, if two particles interact in a certain way and then become separated, regardless of the distance between them, they will share a state called ‘quantum entanglement.’ That is, they will continue to share information despite their separation. This theory deeply troubled Einstein. According to his theory of relativity, no information could be transmitted faster than the speed of light; therefore, he could not understand how the two particles could be simultaneously connected.

Entrelazado is a research project on a series of interwoven narratives taking place in Cali, Colombia.
It is composed of a film, a series of documents, and a slideshow.

The film intertwines four interviews collected in Cali. A tailor, a puppeteer, a parapsychologist, and a physicist narrate certain episodes that supposedly occurred in the city: the disappearance of a cow, a form of possession caused by a puppet, a paradox in quantum mechanics, and the fall of a bus into a river caused by a lion on the road.

A latent ‘entanglement’ between the four stories emerges, outlining possible examples of "action at a distance."
